From The Director

Thank you for taking the time to learn about St.George’s School, Düsseldorf Rhein-Ruhr. We invite you to discover our school community, experience our welcoming family atmosphere, and learn about the ethos that defines us.

St.George’s school values underpin everything we do. We are a community of nationalities, with more that 50 countries represented in school. This diversity is essential to who we are. Our pupils demonstrate courage in everything they approach, whether in the classroom, on the stage, or on the sports field. They need to be curious about the world around them and we nuture this curiosity and utilize this spark to educate. A St.George’s student has the confidence to make mistakes, ask questions, try something new, and be the best person they can. We enable our pupils to learn in an environment characterised by mutual respect and academic achievement.

Empowering children to lead a life that makes a difference. This is our mission and what motivates everything we do. What does it mean? It means that we have a huge responsibility. All schools do, all teachers do, and perhaps some schools can influence the future more than others. We are helping to educate, create, and develop our world’s future - its leaders, its inventors, its politicians, its managers, its innovators. The work we do as a school makes a significant contribution to the way the world develops and evolves. At St.George’s, we are shaping the minds that will shape tomorrow.

It has been noted that the very essence of education lies in respecting the pupil. We believe this to be true and endeavour to prove this at St.George’s. Our parents are entrusting us with their child’s education and we therefore aim to make every child’s time at school one of the most rewarding periods of their life. Parents, teachers, and students are united in their desire for excellent education, and together, we work as a team to achieve this goal.

St.George’s nurtures, challenges and inspires our pupils to be creative and innovative thinkers, individuals who will thrive and make a positive impact in a complex and changing world, as tolerance, decency and fairness is at the very centre of what we are.

What makes a school? The pupils and students. The staff. The parents. The facilities. The academic results. The reputation. These are all important, if just a few of the ingredients that make a successful school. We are a community of all these aspects and I look forward to welcoming your family to St.George’s school.
